cjacobs2
I have a Corair XMS 256MB Module V1.2 that is defective. If that module is in any RAM slot (on an FIC AU13 NForce 2 board) the computer fails a Prime 95 test. With other RAM the machine is stable. cjacobs2
Can you tell me the cpmplete module part# and the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set? CPU is an Athlon XP 3000+ with FSB speed of 400 Mhz (2 X DDR). Motherboard is an FIC AU-13. BIOS setting is memory at SPD (this setting had worked fine for months beforehand). The Module is a 256 MB XMS PC3200 Low Latency (with the CH5 chips) model CMX256A-3200PT.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 7, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 7, 2005 I would try and set these settings manually and test the module with http://www.memtest.org to be sure. But if you still get errors then let's get it replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
