Sminyard
Hi, Been browsing the forums but i havn't found a post regarding my specific motherboard, so i'll post on here and see what kind of info i can find. I have 2 value select 512 MB chips ddr 400 plugged into an Aopen AK 89Max board. During startup, the chips are RECOGNIZED as 400 modules, however they are RUNNING at 333. After going through the bios i noticed that the highest setting i could choose was 333, however the board is advertised to run at 400. Is there a compatibility problem with the RAm and this Motherboard, or some other issue that i'm missing? thanks for the help. ~Seth

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 8, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 8, 2005 Many socket 754 MB's will set the memory frequency to DDR333 when you install more than one module. Also I would try the modules one at a time and test with http://www.memtest.org to make sure its not some other problem. And if they both pass I would suggest slots 1-3 or 2-3 and see if that helps!
