Bad memory

Recommended Posts

My memory module is cmx512-3200c2pro.

Even though my memory module is rated @ DDR400 for AMD systems at 2.5-3-3-7. When i memtest it @DDR333 get 1073 errors posted on the single ram stick. I want to get my RAM returned for a new replacement? What do I do?

(I am running an AMD 2500+ system on an Albatron KX18D Pro II motherboard and stock voltages.)

Please try and load set up defaults and then set the following settings in the bios manually:

CPU Freq: 166 MHz

Memory Frequency: 100%

Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts

Resulting Frequency: 166 MHz

SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T

SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T

SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T

SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T

Then please test the module with http://www.memtest.org to make sure its stable!
