Therion
Hi, If i was to get more memory to go up to 1Gb, what memory should i get to pair it with the 2x256MB XMS3500C2 i already have, in order for it to work @ 440Mhz 2-3-3-7 ? I ask because having 4 DIMMS might make it harder to retain these specs, and the 3500 sticks now cost just a little less than the 4000 sticks ! So...? Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 2, 2003 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 2, 2003 Either I would get 2 more of the exact same modules that you have. Or I would go for the Twinx1024-4000 and run them at 250 MHz 1 to 1 and find some one to buy these from you. And you may not be able to reach 220MHz with 4 modules because of chipset loading. So the XMS4000 would be suggested. Ram Guy
st_trooper
If PC4000 isn't much more than I would personally get that and sell your PC3500 on ebay. I can say I got 4 sticks of PC3500 running at 222Mhz *and* at 2/2/2/5. Obviously, your results may vary.
