Painting PSU...

Hey all, just wondering if it would void the warranty on an AXi 1200 to paint the outer shell a different color? This is assuming I cover all openings, no paint gets inside, all labels and stickers are paint free, etc.

It will most likely void the warranty even if you do not disassemble the PSU or cover the stickers. An alternative may be to wrap the PSU but i would suggest you wait for a Corsair employee to confirm what options are available to you without voiding the warranty.

As Toasted say, we are unable to authorize any modification of a Corsair PSU. I would definitely wrap it, in order to paint over the wrap.

 

 

Here is what I found on our warranty page, I dont thinks there a way around it =O

 

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover problems or damage resulting from, but not limited to, any of the following:

 

"Any modification, abuse, accident, disassembly, misapplication, or unauthorized repair"

 

"No Corsair employee, dealer, or other agent is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty."
