Zarconite Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Hey there, I tried to update my Corsair void wireless headset's firmware today (to the latest version) and as soon as it started to download, my computer bluescreened. Here's a video of it happening: [ame= ] [/ame] My current issue is that windows isn't recognising it anymore (I can't play sound through it) even though it pairs up Any help?
Zarconite Posted February 13, 2016 Author Posted February 13, 2016 Okay, I managed to get it working by using an old version of CUE (V1.10.67) I'll link it here for people to download in case they want to try it to resolve any of their issues as it seems to be much more functional / stable than the newer ones http://www26.zippyshare.com/d/lmNnOk3l/196362/Corsair-Utility-Engine-v1.10.67.zip
Toasted Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 The BSOD is caused by the asmthub3.sys driver. Googling it shows its the ASMedia USB 3.0 drivers. You will want to update your ASMedia drivers or use a different USB port that is controlled by the Intel chipset. You can find which port is controlled by which in your motherboard's user manual.
Corsair Employee Corsair James Posted February 22, 2016 Corsair Employee Posted February 22, 2016 You'll want to update your ASmedia drivers directly from them as well. Most motherboard support sites don't post the latest drivers for it after the motherboard is EOL.
