partyone
System Specs: DFI LANPARTY NFII ULTRA B RETAIL XP Athlon 3200 2x 512MB 32MX8 PC-3200C2 ATI AIW 9700 PRO HD 120GB WD 72R WD1200JB 8MB-CACHE HD 120GB MAXTOR 8MB-CACHE 450 WATT PS DVD ARTEC DHM-G48 16/48X IDE RETAIL I am getting an error 7 ntkrnlmp.exe not loaded while reinstalling Win XP Pro. I have called Microsoft and what they did was have me disable ACPI. Which did not fix the problem. They did tell me it could be a memory problem. I have checked all my mobo settings and they appear correct. DFI does not have a tech number to call. I was thinking I could have faulty memory modules ;however, I have tried them in the mobo one at a time and get the same error. I noticed that the memory should be compatible per the Corsair website. However is could this be a memory or setting issue that I have not discovered? Any help would be appreciated. I am not overclocking. I have tried 3 Win XP cds 2 Home 1 pro and a PNY 512 3200 memory stick. To no avail. Any thoughts I have also sent an email to DFI and have not gotten a response yet. Yellowbeard
First, can you list all of your bios settings that relate to RAM, CPU, and voltages? Also, I'd suggest that you download the test from http://www.memtest86.com and run that. It will run in DOS and should tell you if you have a bad stick of memory. Also, since it is running in DOS, the OS will have no effect on it. Mike.
mevidinous
I have the same problem with the same memory modules...hmmmm I'm running them at 2-3-3-6 but I've tried slowing them down with no effect. I've also tried turning off ACPI but no effect. I saw a comment on another forum that the old installers can't deal with fast memory. I really hope someone around here comes up with an answer!
