Avenger_144
Hi, I 've got a H55 AIO. The problem is the pump which is quite loud for my taste (not very loud but clearly audible). I have set in mb bios to run at 70% (~1250rpm) when CPU temperature is below 55C and go to 100% (~1500rpm) when temp goes higher. Now the pump is much quiter in idle. But is it safe? I heard Corsair recommends to have max. speed all the time which would be painful to my ears. Can I damage my cooler?

Discollama
The pumps are not variable speeds, so you're likely to wear it out by adjusting the voltage to it.
Avenger_144
So what do I risk? Damage, louder work, lower performance? It is really much quieter at 1250rpm (yeah, I know in fact there is no rpm).
Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted January 5, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 5, 2015 You risk damage and a lowered lifespan of the pump.
