Greetings all,

This is my first time posting here :)

This weekend I will be putting together a new AMD-64 system for a friend.

mb: MSI NEO2 Platinum Nforce3 Socket 939

cpu: AMD 64 3500+

video: EvGA 6800GT

sound: SB Audigy 2zs

memory: Corsair Twinx 1gb (2 x CMX512-3200c2pt XMS3202v4.1 0439028-7)

psu: ANTEC "NeoPower" 480w

Would appreciate any advice on optimal BIOS setting for this system/memory.

Thank you

Modules should be in slots 3-4 and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and then set the timings as listed bellow. In addition if you have a 90nm CPU you will need to get the latest bios from MSI Ver. 1.36 or newer.

CAS Latency CL=2.5

Row Cycle Time tRC Bios Default

Row Refresh Cyc Time tRFC Bios Default

Ras# to CAS# delay tRCD 3

Row to Row delay Bios Default

Min Ras# Active Time tRAS 11

Row Precharge Time tRP 3

Write Recovery Time Bios Default

Write to Read delay Bios Default

Read to Write Delay Bios Default

Refresh Period tREF Bios Default

Enable 2T Timing Disabled

Then test the system with http://www.memtest.org and make sure it's stable! If you have problems, I would set Enable 2T Timings to AUTO and test it again!
