rholmes
I have an Asus P4G8X Deluxe with TwinX1024-2700LL memory rated at 2-2-2-5. I want to add another 512 but PC2700 memory is more money than PC3200 now. I was wondering if I could mix the modules I have now with some TwinX512-3200XLPT which is rated at the same 2-2-2-5 as the modules I have now? Will the BIOS recognize the modules at their SPD of 2-2-2-5 but run them all at the slower 333MHz? Thanks for your help. Russ
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 28, 2004 P4G8x as I remember will support PC-2100 only! Memory Dual channel memory architecture 4 x 184-pin DIMM Sockets support max. 4GB PC2100/PC1600 ECC/non-ECC DDR SDRAM memory But you might be able to get these too run together, but I would suggest you set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 Volts and set the timings manually to Cass 2-3-2-6 with the Rass to Cass set to "3"!
