mallan
I have 2 force 3 60gb SSDs in RAID0. The MB controlling the RAID is a Gigabyte 990xa-ud3. I've seen other people reporting around 1GB/s read speeds with the same set up but I'm not achieving that. I'm getting around 600MB/s. Should I apply the 1.3 FW update? Here are the results of an HD tune pro file transfer test http://s1.postimage.org/2ianjipvo/Raid0.jpg
Yellowbeard
First, an AMD controller is not going to bench as fast as the Intel *67 and Z68 controllers. Second, bench it with ATTO and post your score. ATTO is the tool used to bench the original specifications for our SSDs.

Yellowbeard
I have not seen any current 990 chipset RAID benchmarks before yours. However, based on what other single drive users are reporting, your results are not surprising. If you have not already done say, check with AMD and be certain that you have the most recent drivers for that controller. Also, if you are stable and not having BSODs or screen freeze/lag issues, I'd suggest you stick to the 1.2 firmware. I am not aware of any performance enhancements in the 1.3 firmware. mallan
Yes I verified that I have the most recent drivers. So you're saying it's the south bridge that is limiting my performance in this raid setup? What chip-sets do you recommend?
Yellowbeard
The only chipsets currently shown to run the Force Series 3 drives to full specification are the Intel *67 and Z68 chipsets.
