haraakiri
I get some noise from TX750W psu when running on battery(apc back ups 1.5KVA). I am told it's because back ups generates quasi sinewave instead of pure sinewave which is required by active OFC psu. Now should I opt for a pure sinewave ups or its ok to run it on the current ups? Does it reduce lifetime of my psu or has any bad effects?

FEAR6655
You should always use a pure sinewave input on computer power supplies. Whether it damages anything I don't know.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 13, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 13, 2009 I would suspect it shouldn't cause any damage to the PSU...
haraakiri
Thanks, I will keep my 1.5kva ups for now. Might get pure sinewave ups later.
