Woxenrud
I will try to write as good as I can in english. When i enter BIOS and look at my RAM speed it says 1333 even though I have 1866 RAMs and a motherboard compatible with that speed. I can change to 800, 1066 and 1600 but not higher. On Gigabytes website it says "Support for DDR3 1866(OC)/1333/1066 MHz memory modules". OC probably means I have to change some other things. Everything is on Auto now. Wired
HOW are you determining the speed? Also yes, you'd have to overclock your system to run the memory at 1866 MHz.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 17, 2011 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 17, 2011 The AMD CPU officially only supports DDR1333 that are on the market so any setting above that would be over clocking, and you would as wired suggested need to over clock the CPU. I would strongly suggest you use google and search for that MB and CPU and HOW TO Over Clock.
