jarrettm8565
So... my line on my H100i v2 broke at the cpu cooler today while I was away from the house running errands and proceeded to dump coolant on my mobo and cpu. Which then fried both my CPU and the CPU socket of my MOBO. I had a i7 7700k and a ROG Hero Viii. Really disappointed in the product bc I have had it for 13 days total. Both Mobo and CPU was also only 13 days old. I was iffy on liquid cooling from the beginning and now it just solidified it. Heres pictures of my sadness.... http://imgur.com/CBxOUOc http://imgur.com/aObWXQN http://imgur.com/r2iNLTZ http://imgur.com/r2AefC6 http://imgur.com/J8vTKA5 http://imgur.com/5PY09jX http://imgur.com/yo9m7ML
c-attack
Contact Corsair Tech Support through their website to begin the process.
jarrettm8565
Did on the 30th now I have been waiting since then just for a response back, all they have to do is send me an email with a shipping label. I sent in my damage claim paperwork 3 days ago and every time I call I just get we can only get in contact with them only through that email. Which is really dumb if you think about it. Not quick service at all.
c-attack
There is a note on top of the forum pages about support delays. They just revamped the entire system and I am not sure everything is working quite as expected. Hang in there. I suspect given the nature of your issue it won't be forgotten. ryudraco
should this type of thing happen to me? i got my 100iv2 about two months ago and its working fine but every day since hearing about the leaking thing on the forums it scareds me so much
snapper69
We can offer you as much reassurance as we can, but if you are really that worried, I suspect that it won't help. I suggest that if you are that worried, your best bet is to take it out and replace it with a good air cooler (the Noctua ones are, in my opinion, very good). I have been using AIO water coolers for over 13 years and have only had one leak, and that was an early Coolit model (not a Corsair one) that was about 4 years old and had been installed in multiple systems. If you search these forums for leaking coolers, you will see that there don't seem to be many problems, compared to the number that Corsair sell. Still, it does happen. ryudraco
If it DID leak and I got unlucky and it took something else with it would corsair actually replace every damaged part? Also how would that work, do they send you boxed parts or money or something?
