780T Fit SSD into 3.5" drive cages

Hi Folks,

I got a new SSD today and installed onto 1 of the SSD Brackets on the back of the case and found the SATA Power cable is only just long enough to reach my 2nd SSD.

I thought I would move the SSD onto 1 of the 3.5" drive bays but ran into a problem. Where the SSD mounting screw holes are, there is just 1 mounting pin for the 3.5" in the way so I can't mount the SSD.

Can you remove the pin that is there (normally for 3.5" drive), so that I can mount my SSD? I thought it was just going to be a simple as screwing it in, but not the case.

Many thanks in advance.

Yes, you can simply push it out with a screwdriver or something small. It'll pop right out and make sure you put it away somewhere secure for safe keeping, in case you want to install a 3.5" drive in the future.

Thanks very much for your reply, works a treat just pushed the pin and rubber piece through from outside and it popped out.

SSD now mounted on HDD caddy.
