Blocking CorsairHID.exe in firewall causes high CPU usage

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install CUE

2. Block CorsairHID.exe in Firewall

3. Reboot system

4. Open up taskmgr

5. Watch CorsairHID.exe flip his ****, prolly stuck in a loop. 14% CPU usage on an i7-3770K.

On default CorsairHID.exe checks for new versions on startup but seems to not have a proper time-out system.

Does this happen if you boot and there isnt a internet connection for CUE to check for an update? or only when you block its internet access?

I turned my LAN adapter off and restart CUE. CPU usage was around 0% to 3%.

Only blocking it with a firewall seems to make the CPU usage increase.

Hi,

This bug is still present in the software. Can this get looked at?

e: eh it seems there is a new CUE, does the old one still get updates or is it dead?

The older CUE is not receiving updates. This issue has been closed due to the fact that it is not deemed a bug, and rather user interference.
