dnbblah
Hi all, got my new Mainboard s.u. some Weeks ago. Now i bought my new Corsair TWINX1024-3200 C2 and want to use them at DDR 400 with CL 2.0 but how?!!?!!??!??!?!?!?! :[pouts: At default settings my Pc booted with DDR 333 and 3.0 3 3 8 Settings: DDR 400 CL 2.0 3 3 6 T1 Wont work -------------------------- DDR 400 CL 2.0 3 3 6 T2 Wont work ------------------------- DDR 400 CL 2.0 3 3 8 T2 Wont work ------------------------- DDR 400 CL 2.5 3 3 8 T2 Work -------------------------- I Also tried to change the RAM Voltage to High but the only difference was that my Pc boots until windows start and restarts at Windows Boot up Logo... without High Voltage i hav to reset Cmos by Jumper to get him up again... Also tried to set Settings to "Auto" without DDR 400 and CL 2.0 Wont work... Hope anyone has an idea for me to get my Corsair runnin like hell :) Thx @ Lot
CMC_SAVAGE
Do you have the latest BIOS for your MOBO? You also can check each stick with Memtest.
dnbblah
got newest version 1.30 from Asrock Hp.. Ill try memtest thx..
dnbblah
So now i tested with Memtest the results: short said: Asrock Bios arent possible to set the voltage high enough to boot with CL2.0 i think the Option DRAM Voltage: High wouldnt be enough i think got memtest failures at Test 5 ---> 364 of them :/ Now runnin my Ram at 2.5 3 3 6 and T2 works for moment now... Hope anyone got a fix for that!!! or maybe Asrock will spend us a new Bios where the Voltage can set manually.... Gr33ts
CMC_SAVAGE
Failures on test #5 usually indicate a problem other than the RAM itself. What is the "high" voltage for your board. Stock is usually 2.6, 2.7 should be fine though.
dnbblah
Dont know exact Settings dont found anywhere some informations about it. :[pouts: But if i use normal or Auto Setting i hav to reset CMOS :( So i think Voltage is not enough at Normal? I contacting Asrock Support at the moment got a new bios version of the support Especially for problems Like that i flashd Bios but it wont work ;( BUT i hav to say that the ASROCK support is very very good got 3 Answer Emails within 3 Hours an thats enough to say i think! Im hopefully to get my Ram bootin with CL 2.0 and im open for Ideas. Thx for your Posts Aswell! (Btw testet RAM @ Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe an worked fine)
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted November 1, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 1, 2005 More than likely the MB bios will just need to mature a bit more it sounds like!
dnbblah
Hi again i changed my RAM last week to TwinX Set XMS 4400 and want them to run at DDR 400 at 2.2.2.5 T1 /T2 but got memtest failures aswell i think this MOBO is not really friendly to High Speed RAM.... Now i paid nearly 210$ for my RAM an they wont run as i considered .... really crap! well i think ill buy a new board next time and hopefully the problem will be solved.. Wired
????????????????? THEY are NOT guaranteed at 2-2-2-5 timings. Their rated timings for a 939 system are 2.5(3.0)-4-4-8 (depending on which 4400 pack you got, the 400 or the 4400C25).
dnbblah
Got the 4400C25 and i thought they are also run at DDR 3200 with 2.0 2 2 5 OR at DDR 4400 with 2.5 4 4 8 arent they? But finally i think the mainboard sux ... or bios sux whatever it wont work ill like them to. Sry for late answer was holidays last weeks :)
Wired
They MAY run @ 2-2-2-5 because they use the same ICs the 3200XLs do, but they're not guaranteed to do so.
dnbblah
kk thx @ lot so iv paid much more for ram they hav higher latency ...
