Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 1, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 1, 2010 I would contact the person you purchased it from and ask them to help you, also this part is not available as a single module only as a set, and both modules should have the exact same lot number both should say 09170005 for example. CM2X2048-8500C5D XMS2-8500 2048MB 1066MHZ 5-5-5-15 2.10V ver2.1 09172778 CM2X2048-8500C5D XMS2-8500 2048MB 1066MHZ 5-5-5-15 2.10V ver2.1 09181015 So 09172778 & 09181015 is lot number?I know 09172778 cannot pass memtest86+,09181015 is okay. Wired
That's what it would look like, however running Memtest with a VM wouldn't test the actual hardware memory.
cuthead
That's what it would look like, however running Memtest with a VM wouldn't test the actual hardware memory. You are right. But I don't have DC so I cannot take a screenshot when I running memtest from CD.I have already burned a memtest86+ CD and the 09172778 cannot pass it.Running Memtest with a VM Player and I always got a BSOD,then I cannot log in windows and got BSOD eternally. But when I use double memory, the things goes better, but it still BSOD when I play some harder game like Prototype.I think I have to send them back to person from beijing to get I replacement, during this time I have to go to my cousin home to use his computer. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 5, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 5, 2010 I would suggest contacting the seller for help with that. The set they sold you is not a matched set and not how they should come.

cuthead
Sorry, when I reply #8 I was in Internet bar, after RAM GUY suggest me to contacting the seller,I have contact him.He send me a HY 256 DDR2 RAM,but I don't know much more about computer hardware,I haven't install it correctly. So it doesn't work, the computer does't boot up.I send TWIN2X2048-8500C5D to him,he send TWIN2X2048-8500C5D to another one to test if it really bad,and he told me I have to wait for a month. But the DRAM price go up,and he told me there is no TWIN2X2048-8500C5D.He call me with telelphone and say he will replace the TWIN2X2048-8500C5D with F2-8500CL5D-4GBPQ in March 20.But now he said the memory price get up,so cannot send it back right now.I cannot wait so buy the F2-8500CL5D-4GBPQ with 750 Chinese yuan = 109.8855 U.S. dollars and ask him for money back....
