Conners
I bought one of these from New Egg yesterday and have read reviews that some are reporting issues with the 5V wires on the 24 pin connector works. Is this still an issue and how would a person go about checking them?
peanutz94
Connors that was an issue with the initial batch and yes and been corrected a long time ago. Places like Newegg dont keep stock very long so I would be certain you have the latest build.
arznable
Can I ask the RM650 missing 5V wires problem was fixed starting with which product lot number? Just want to make sure. Thanks a lot.
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted March 19, 2014 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 19, 2014 I believe anything after 1343 is fine. That said, even if the S/N is 1343 or less, the lack of +5V was only on the 24-pin, which still has functioning +5V. Just not as many leads as it's supposed to. Fortunately, any ATX12V motherboard doesn't have enough +5V load for this to be a problem (thus the +12V in the term ATX12V).
