Corsair Sabre middle click failure (looking for disassembly)

Hi, the middle click on the scroll wheel of my Corsair Sabre Laser mice has begun to fail. It's definitely hardware failure of the tactile switch. Does anyone know how to disassemble it?

I have looked at other guides of Corsair mice and they also experience a failure of the middle click which uses a tactile switch but none of their guides for disassembly have been useful to me with disassembling Corsair Sabre mice. I attempted to disassemble it, removing the three pads underneath it exposing 3 screws (hex head?) that I removed and were able to slightly pull it up. I can lift parts of the cover of the mouse up but it appears to be strongly attached to something on the left and front of the mouse http://imgur.com/a/sKfdV (In picture I placed red squares around where it seems thoroughly secured and won't come off).

I also came across this: [ame]

[/ame] which isn't very informative since it's only vague pictures and the guy states in the comments he had to drill out the holes where the screws go.

I am from Australia and my warranty has expired but it's not like I'm going to pay $40 to send an $80 mice to Corsair which they may or may not fix >.< But since a tactile switch is only like 90 cents I would rather just change it than to buy another mice which may end up with the same issue so I'd very much appreciate any help/tips anybody has :)

Have you tried sliding the cover towards the back?

Hmm I did try that but I wasn't very firm with it, it felt like something was holding it securely in place on the left side and front almost as if there was some screws or something, I might try tomorrow if I get a chance and will post back.

Curiosity didn't kill the cat this time round.

I figured it out. Turns out there was one more screw hidden under a thin skid that I didn't notice. Once that's undone the top shell can lift straight up.

I guess I will go tactile switch hunting this weekend and replace this. Does anyone know if Corsair is aware of this issue? I can't imagine it being much more expensive or difficult with the PCB layout to have a microswitch which last longer than a tactile switch.

I noticed you're working on a sabre, and I can't even get the screws off. Been using a mix of small alan keys and flat head and phillips head screwdrivers. Im not sure if Im stupid or what, cause it feels like it should take a minute or 2. Mind if I ask for some help?

They use Torx head screws, if I remember right it's a T6 size.

Thanks, Brenton.S. That was a great help. I went out and bought a set of screw drivers that included a T6 and did a mod on my Sabre RGB: I flattened that little washer that creates that pointless clicking on the scroll action and have buttery smooth scrolling for the first time ever. I have no idea what the point is of making the scroll wheel ratchet along. It works against smooth scrolling.

Of course it doesn't help in windows explorer. That still jumps line by line to make it difficult for the eye to follow and I don't thing Microsoft is going to wake up to such visual illiteracy any time soon.
