  1. Curiosity didn't kill the cat this time round. I figured it out. Turns out there was one more screw hidden under a thin skid that I didn't notice. Once that's undone the top shell can lift straight up. Image demonstration: http://imgur.com/a/UNwXq Culprit: http://imgur.com/a/2jvig I guess I will go tactile switch hunting this weekend and replace this. Does anyone know if Corsair is aware of this issue? I can't imagine it being much more expensive or difficult with the PCB layout to have a microswitch which last longer than a tactile switch.
  2. Hmm I did try that but I wasn't very firm with it, it felt like something was holding it securely in place on the left side and front almost as if there was some screws or something, I might try tomorrow if I get a chance and will post back.
  3. Hi, the middle click on the scroll wheel of my Corsair Sabre Laser mice has begun to fail. It's definitely hardware failure of the tactile switch. Does anyone know how to disassemble it? I have looked at other guides of Corsair mice and they also experience a failure of the middle click which uses a tactile switch but none of their guides for disassembly have been useful to me with disassembling Corsair Sabre mice. I attempted to disassemble it, removing the three pads underneath it exposing 3 screws (hex head?) that I removed and were able to slightly pull it up. I can lift parts of the cover of the mouse up but it appears to be strongly attached to something on the left and front of the mouse http://imgur.com/a/sKfdV (In picture I placed red squares around where it seems thoroughly secured and won't come off). I also came across this: [ame] [/ame] which isn't very informative since it's only vague pictures and the guy states in the comments he had to drill out the holes where the screws go. I am from Australia and my warranty has expired but it's not like I'm going to pay $40 to send an $80 mice to Corsair which they may or may not fix >.< But since a tactile switch is only like 90 cents I would rather just change it than to buy another mice which may end up with the same issue so I'd very much appreciate any help/tips anybody has :)
