agontijo
Hi Ramguy and everybody, I got totally dissappointed with my TwinX 1024 3200C2 kit, which is a CAS 2.5 memory and not C2. Even getting a great score, the memory only works on 2.5, so I'm feeling cheated. So I got a brand new 3200LL to try to achieve the CAS 2 rate. And after trying a lot of combinations on my mobo, I still can't get it working fast without erros on memtest. I tried in every possible combinations: - SPD - 2-2-6-3 - 2-3-6-3 - 2-3-8-3 - 2.5-3-8-3 with 2.7, 2.8 and even 2.9 volts, using the FAST and TURBO configurations. I was using the 1.9 BIOS, and downgraded to 1.3, but the same results. The only error-free configuration is running on SLOW mode, but this gives me just a poor result. Does anyone knows the cause of it?! The 3200LL isn't the best kit for the top performance with this mobo? Why it only works right with the SLOW mode? ferry_g
Since you're using C2, set your Dram as follow: DRAM CAS# Latency [2.0 clocks] DRAM RAS# Precharge [3 clocks] DRAM RAS# to CAS# delay [3 clocks] DRAM Precharge Delay [6 clocks] Good Luck, Ferry. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 27, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 27, 2004 You should be able to run our LL modules ate Cass 2-3-2-6 and that would be a bit faster than Cass 2-3-3-6.
agontijo
Hi Ferry, You should look here, http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22728, the problem is solved althought the memory really don't get CAS2. I'm getting FSB 200 MHz (Auto), 2.5-3-2-5, with Turbo and 2.6V, thanks to the new Bios 2.0. Regards, AleX
