MrPsycho
The mobo I'm about to buy is an MSI K7N2 Delta-L site: http://www.msicomputer.com/product/detail_spec/product_detail.asp?model=K7N2_Delta-L The manufacturer states that
Note: nForce2 does NOT supports x4 memory device. 1GB can be made by other density of dram chip such as x 8, x16.
What are they referring to? Is this some sort of IC configuration? I also noticed Kingston took this motherboard off its support list. Can anyone shed some light on what this means for me and if its a universal nforce 2 issue? thanks
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 28, 2003 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 28, 2003 Currantly most 1.0 Gig modules are made with By 4 memory IC's and would not be compatible with this MB. Also this chipset will not support registered memory. So I would suggest Twinx1024-3200LL or if you want 2.0 Gig of memory Twinx2048-3200
