aburn51
Hi guys, I am having trouble installing CUE. It stops when trying to install the shortcut in the start menu. Initially it stated that I didn't have the admin privilege so I put a empty folder there this resulted in the error message just saying an error has occurred. The directory is C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Corsair Utility Engine Thanks in advance.
Toasted
Are you or have you tried installing the software in an account with administrator privileges? it may be related to permissions.
aburn51
My account has admin privileges. I also unlocked the windows 7 admin account though cmd and tried it on that as well however it had the same results.
Toasted
Have you tried changing the permissions for the Start Menu folder? You can do this by right clicking the folder > Properties > Security.
aburn51
I looked in the folder security like you have suggested however both my user and the admin have full access and permission. There is nothing that stands out in any of the sub menus either. Thank you for the continuous help.

Inheritance
It actually worked on another drive. Thank you so much you have made my day. PS your windows install might be a little bugged out if its not giving you access to parts of the C drive.
