ssnickl Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I bought the TX650W from best buy this afternoon after my tp3-650w died. After a while of just letting the computer idle, i noticed the outside of the PSU enclosure was really hot! So then i checked to see if the fan was spinning... It was spinning, slowly... It is always spinning really slow, even after 30 minutes of playing CODWAW. Is this normal? rurika Posted April 3, 2010 Share Posted April 3, 2010 Hi ssnickl, I am having the same issue with the exact same power supply. The fan speed control is not working for me either. My PSU gets so hot that I am forced to open my case after one hour of heavy activity. I am taking it back to my retailer on Monday. Honestly, I'd rather have a PSU that has a set fan speed.
