Ends
I was wondering if it would be possible for the Corsair Link to control a 2+ amp PWM fan by connecting the voltage wires of the fan to a molex from the PSU and the TACH and PWM wires to the corresponding pins on the Link? GTXJackBauer
"2 amps max per fan connector or 4 amps total across all five" is the responce I got from a Corsair Engineer over a month ago. Hope this helps and I believe you can.
SpDFrek
No, it will not work. The control method used physically cycles the power in order to determine the RPM and adjust accordingly. In order for the feedback loop to be completed the device needs to be plugged into the power of the fan header.
Ends
Thank you... guess I'll have to look for another fan controller.
