  1. I'm also sitting at a normal distance from the case, between 1 and 1,5 meters. It's standing on the floor under my desk. However as noted by others distance does not effect the noise that much, I can hear it from outside of the room this machine is in, and that's with my house's air re-circulation system on. As I tried to indicate in my earlier post, the pitch is the main issue I'm having with this. I used a spectral analyzer on my phone to check the noise level and pitch and I'm quite easily able to see a shift in the loudness around the 1000Hz point just by shifting between the pump profiles. What kind of tests have your engineers done with the RMA'd units? When you say they perform within spec, what kind of specification do you mean? Are these pumps tested on loudness (dB) or is pitch also taken in to account (Hz)? It's well known that the human ear's perceived loudness does not respond equally to noises of the same dB level at different pitches (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-weighting#Environmental_and_other_noise_measurements). This also aligns with the fact that lowering the RPM (and thus the pitch) helps with making the noise less noticeable. Bear in mind, I'm measuring this with a normal household room base level noise, and I'm able to detect the shift in pitch. I would assume you would have a noise isolation room available to test this, so it should be even more obvious in that scenario...
  2. Suffering from the exact same issues as everyone else in this thread. I'm running a h100i Elite Capellix: 1. iCue / firmware version: Tested both v. 4.17.244 and 4.18.209, firmware version v 2.6.201. ALL profiles are noisy, the difference being just the pitch of the noise. Quiet is a very whiny insufferable noise, Balanced at least has a pitch that's a bit better, Extreme is just.. too extreme and finally Variable speed just makes it shift between these pitches seemingly randomly. 2. Other hardware specs: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 with a 5800X, in a Corsair iCue 4000X RGB. 3. Image to illustrate radiator position + tube routing: I have to say I'm very disappointed, coming from another system with an AIO I expected some occasional noise like air bubbles shifting through the system on boot, but nothing prepared me for this. I absolutely love the looks of the cooler / pump and the ease of the cable management with the commander core, but I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it. Since this machine is my daily driver whilst working from home, returning the AIO or RMA'ing it is also not that straightforward. (This system being a replacement for a system that had it's own issues.) And being my daily driver, it has to be on for 8 hours, making it al the more important to have a reasonably quiet system. I have tried the mod as suggested in the thread, this worked to drop the pump to ~1900 RPM on the Balanced profile at first. After the update from 4.17 to 4.18, somehow now I can only get the mod to work on the Extreme profile. I'm hoping you will not break this option with future updates. Better still, if all other options are exhausted, please just give us the option to manually set the RPM in the software. In that case I would willing sign away my warranty, if that stops me from having to live with this noise.
