  1. I noticed there is finally a USB driver update. I tried that and the March BIOS update, but still have issues with my keyboard and mouse getting a triangle when my external drives are plugged in.
  2. I tried moving my hub with the drives to difference ports, but it didn't make a difference. I see there's a new BIOS version released yesterday. I installed it, but still have issues with the drives causing keyboard disconnects. Looks like there's still no new serial drivers though. So far, the new cooler seems to be fine. Really wish I knew what caused the issue with the cooler so I can be sure if it was something I did to not do it again. Only thing I can think of that I did that could have caused it was the force firmware upgrade.
  3. Finally got a replacement h150i yesterday and installed it today. Everything is fine so far. Out of curiosity I hooked up the old Commander Core with the new pump assembly and it still had the same red hardware lighting. I'm almost certain that the issue was the commander core, but they would not send me a replacement just for that. Had to do the whole thing... Still waiting for another BIOS update for my motherboard to see if the keyboard/mouse issues go away. They were doing one pretty much every 30 days for a while so it's pretty annoying that there isn't a new one yet. I'm fine for now just disconnecting my drives while I play games, but I really hope either a BIOS or driver update sorts this last issue out.
  4. Unfortunately, I don't have any USB 2 on my motherboard. I can't really find any information about which ports are grouped together. I'm guessing they all are other than the BIOS port?
  5. It doesn't seem to be any specific hard drive that does it, just 2 of them being plugged in to the hub will give me the triangle. I also have my headset charging.
  6. I don't know that it's a voltage issue. The hub is plugged in to a USB 3 port on the back of the PC and the hub is powered. It doesn't look like I even have any USB 2 ports on the back of my board. I have all the drives and the headset charging cable plugged in to the hub and all of the drives are powered as well. I'm trying to figure out which device is causing the issue now. I think i have it narrowed down to the 8TB drive which is the only one out of them that is USB 3 and I also the only one encrypted with the WD Security tool. One of the other 2TB drives I have bitlockered and the other doesn't even appear to have a partition on it, so I'm not sure what I was even using that one for...
  7. @c-attack Here's something interesting: I played for another 2 hours today, no issues. I then realized I unplugged my USB hub in the madness yesterday and never plugged it back in. It's a 4 port powered Insignia USB 3.0 hub model NS-PCH5431. Plugged in to that I have 3 external hard drives: a 2TB western digital elements, an 8TB western digital my book, and a 2TB seagate backup plus. They are behind a bunch of stuff, and I don't feel like messing with them to get model numbers. I also have the charge cable for my Void Elite headset plugged in to the hub. Almost instantly when I plugged the hub in, I got the red triangle on my keyboard. Do you have anything similar?
  8. Yeah, I think I'm at the point where I just need to do an RMA unfortunately. I sent all the info to support. They already said they want to just do a replacement. Hopefully they offer advanced RMA and it will be painless. I dropped a pretty penny on this thing for it to break less than a week in and I don't feel like being down for weeks. especially for something that is just a visual issue. It's just one of those things that will annoy me that I paid a premium for this thing, and it doesn't work properly. I am pretty concerned about the problem surrounding it too. I didn't do anything that I can remember other than try to get my motherboard syncing. At that point I hadn't done a firmware force install or anything that I can remember. Really hope this isn't something that happens over and over again. On the plus side, I did a clean reinstall after the iCue repair (which obviously didn't work for the cooler) but my keyboard has been active without a ! for about 4-5 hours now. Only time will tell if that continues, I guess. Fingers crossed.
  9. My keyboard and mouse lighting is back and the doubled PSU is gone after a repair. For the AIO brightness, I did try that before. I just tried again and still stuck with a red hardware light. I just don't get it. If I go to hardware lighting in iCue it's absolutely fine. As soon as I close, it's red. Is there an older firmware that I can try to downgrade to? I did notice a hole on the face of Commander that has a button on the board. I tried holding in the button for 30 seconds, didn't do anything. Then I tried flipping my power supply off and holding it in for 30 seconds on power up. Neither thing did anything that I can tell.
  10. Ok, false alarm on the LCD becoming a PSU. As I said the cable is very tight and it just popped off the hub when I closed the case. I plugged it back in and just left my case open and it shows up as an LCD again, but still it just has a red hardware light. Not sure what else to do with this thing. Is there a reset I can do on it? Also, the 2 PSUs are still a thing, so I'm not sure what's up with that. One of them has a sensor readings and the other doesn't. It's like the address changed or something and the old one is just stuck there. The silent fan profile I made on the old one does not show up on the "new" one that has sensor readings.
  11. I plugged everything in to the hub and that made things much worse. Now my keyboard does not have hardware or link lighting and the LCD has completely disappeared and been replaced by....another PSU????
  12. I had changed those power settings a while back, so that was already disabled. Also switched the plan to High Performance at the same time. I also really doubt switching USB ports will change anything. All ports on my board are red and labeled 10G. The only one that is different is the BIOS port and I don't have anything in that one. The USB C ports are the only ones that have different speeds listed. On another note, I think once I get the red triangle the keyboard doesn't disconnect again, so that's something, I guess. Really sucks for that first time though. So sounds like we either need a BIOS update or iCue update to fix this? Also looks like my hub was delivered...have to go out in the snow and get it 🥶Hopefully will report back with good news on that shortly.
  13. The top 2 cables are the keyboard, next row down far left is the mouse. I don't see anything saying that any of the ports are different version. My last motherboard had a couple ports that were specifically USB 3.1 and they were incompatible with my Windows WMR headset. Any idea if this would be the case here?
  14. The mouse is plugged in to the motherboard, not passthrough. I'm on what they say is 0801. Attached a screen shot from ASUS page. Yes, only AIO is red. Anything plugged in to the Commander Core that it came with. Support said they want to do a warranty return without any troubleshooting.
  15. After an hour my mouse is also showing red triangle
  16. Spoke too soon, the keyboard finally got the dreaded red triangle.... So far mouse is good
  17. Drivers seem to have fixed the keyboard and mouse issue. On top of that, the motherboard is syncing now too! Only thing left at this point is the red hardware lighting. Hopefully should have the hub in hand soon.
  18. Yep, I would say most times it's less than 5 minutes. I just installed the drivers from the ASUS forum so I'll let that go for a bit and see what happens.
  19. No luck with the serial IO drivers. I tried twice and got the red triangle within a few minutes each time. I'm not sure the installer for the drivers did anything though. It popped up a UAC prompt then nothing happened. I didn't hear any dings like it uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. I don't see anything in the readme about how to do a clean install. I'm a little leery about uninstalling the drivers and checking the box to delete the old driver in case I don't have a keyboard and mouse to reinstall them again. Do you have any secrets to make sure the drivers are actually being replaced? I did verify that the devices in device manager were using the version I tried to install. Somewhat related - I thought I might as well try the USB firmware update again and to my surprise it showed the same versions of firmware it did the first time I ran it. I'll post over on the Asus forums to see if this is normal, but that may be related as well.
  20. Thanks for the detailed reply. Looks like my hub should be here tomorrow so I'll do some testing with that this weekend. Hoping as you said it's a voltage issue and the red hardware light will go away with the hub. For the PSU I didn't realize they were so heat tolerant. I will set it back to default if that's the case. I'll wait to hear back from support on the Asus board. Not the end of the world if it doesn't sync. The rainbow effect is very similar and it's actually pretty hard to tell it's not synced up with everything else unless you know. The keyboard is the thing I'm most worried about. The disconnects are a big issue for me right now when I'm playing games. The mouse is actually not plugged in to the passthrough on the keyboard, it's plugged directly in to the MB rear USB ports. I will try the Serial IO drivers now to see if that makes a difference.
  21. One more thing to add that I just thought of. The Commander Core module for the H150i is plugged in to the extra header that comes off the Commander Core XT USB cable because I don't have enough length on the cable for the Commander Core module for the H150i to make it to the motherboard. The only place it would even remotely fit was at the very top of the case and even there the fan headers are a pain to access. I don't have enough USB 2 headers for everything so I think ideally the power supply would go on the extra header off the Commander Core XT since that seems to be the least busy device. I can plug the Commander Core module for the H150i into the NZXT internal USB hub I got when it shows up, or to go directly into the motherboard I'd have to use the Y cable as an extender, or buy a single extension cable. I'm not sure if the Y cable gave me issues with the LCD because of connector quality or if it was too much plugged in to one USB header? Doesn't seem like they should be doing a whole lot, so I'm not sure how they would max out even a USB 2 connection.
  22. Just remembered, and I don't seem to be able to edit: I forgot to add that the non-hardware lighting for the keyboard and mouse both, interestingly enough, work fine even with the red triangle. I just can't manage them anymore, and the keyboard gets random disconnects.
  23. I recently built a new computer and most of the parts were Corsair. I put in tickets for all of this but figured I'd post here too just in case anyone else here has had these issues. Firmware versions and iCue software are all up to date as of writing this. I also tried a force install firmware on everything I was having issues with. Here is the list of parts I got and the issues with each (system specs at the end): Void Elite Wireless - This is the only device that has actually improved. On my old build I used to get an extremely annoying problem where the sound would go quiet for a split second then increasing get louder and louder to the ear drum damaging level then just as fast go back to normal like nothing ever happened. That was the only problem I ever had with the headset and that seems to be gone, at least for now. Dominator Platinum RGB RAM - No issues at all that I can think of. Maybe one time at boot I didn't see it listed in my devices but closing and reopening iCue brought them back. HX1500i - No issues at all. Only question I have here is with the fan. It doesn't want to seem to kick on at all with the default profile. It gets up to 50c just at idle which seems a little warm for no fan at all. Is this normal? I set up a profile with quiet fan curve for now. Only other thing is, it would be nice to have more sata power cables because of all the Corsair products that require them. I stole one from my previous Corsair HX750 PSU which fits in this one fine. 7000X RGB/Commander Core XT - No major issues. The only thing I've run in to is the cable channel on the left side is far too narrow and with everything bundled the inside door does not close. Is there any recommendation on alternate routing to make this a little better? Here's where the issues start H150i Elite LCD XT - My initial problem was that the LCD would not show up to be configured. After reading the forums I found that the Y cable they include causes issues. I removed the Y cable and plugged the LCD directly in to the motherboard which then made it show up for me to add custom images, etc. Hardware lighting is just broken right now. It came with a rainbow effect, I think? I initially set it to white to match everything else. Not too long after that I changed everything to blue. All of that was fine for a couple days. Then I tried to set up my motherboard, which I'll get to later, and now the only thing I can get with hardware lighting is red. I tried setting multiple colors and effects and per someone's suggestion on here I turned the brightness to 0, exited and opened iCue, and set it back to full. Nothing will change it from red. Not specifically an issue, but it's pretty annoying to have another controller for it when I have a Commander Core XT for the case already. There's not much room for it even in the 7000X. Would have been nice for the Commander Core XT to just support the LCD. K70 RGB MK.2 - This is not a new purchase, but I now have issues with it on my new build. I don't believe I ever used the iCue software on my old build to control the keyboard, I only really used it for my Void Elite headset. For the keyboard, I'm pretty sure I set hardware lighting and just stuck with it so I'm guessing these issues are related to iCue. When I first boot up the keyboard shows up fine. After some time, 1 minute to 15 minutes, I get a red triangle and can't manage it anymore. If I quit iCue and reopen it shows up fine for the same amount of time. I can also just disconnect the USB and plug it back in which achieves the same thing. Randomly, I will get brief keyboard disconnects which are extremely noticeable during games. These disconnects definitely coincide with the red triangle appearing. M65 Pro RGB - Same as the keyboard, this is not a new purchase, but I think I've had the mouse for a lot longer. I get the same red triangle for the mouse. It does not happen at the same time as the keyboard, and usually takes longer to happen. There doesn't seem to be any disconnects like the keyboard, so it doesn't really bother me. I just lose the ability to manage it through iCue. Again, same as the keyboard, if I quit iCue or disconnect the USB it comes back for a bit. Asus ROG STRIX Z790-E Gaming Wifi II Motherboard - I followed the instructions here https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408751251469-How-to-Control-ASUS-GPU-Motherboard-Lighting-in-iCUE but no matter what I do, it will not control the LED. Asus Aura Sync is able to change the lighting no problem so it's not the motherboard. I went as far as uninstalling iCue and removing all settings but it still won't work. I was reading here that some of the issues I've been seeing were fixed by getting an internal USB hub. The NZXT hub that I saw linked everywhere doesn't seem to be available anymore, but they have a new model which I ordered https://www.amazon.com/NZXT-Internal-USB-Hub-AC-IUSBH-M3-4/dp/B08L8VJS3Z It should be here in a couple days. My question with this is, do I want to plug in all the Corsair stuff to this hub? Right now, I have USB cable for the Commander Core XT plugged in to USB port USB_E34, and the Commander Core module for the H150i is plugged in to the extra header that comes off the Commander Core XT USB cable. The USB cable for the H150i LCD is plugged in to port USB_1112. The HX1500i is plugged in to port USB_E12. I knew going into this build there were issues with iCue but I didn't think it would be this extensive. I'm hoping most of these can be resolved, unfortunately most of the threads I stumbled on during this adventure didn't seem to be. 24. Same problem here. Had an H2100 and that mic was great. This one is not...
