  1. I just got my white doubleshots today and they're pretty great. While the font is a bit gaudy (the font used on older Corsair boards would've been better for me), the feel, sound and look (again, minus font) are otherwise amazing. I'm glad this was done in the first place. Also, on the white caps, the light bleed is managed perfectly--that is, there is none. The light only shines through the legend, unlike on the white Vortex set, where there is some light bleed. One thing to note: When removing the keycaps from the holder, you might notice some black residue on the edges of some of the keys. This can be wiped off pretty easily (at least, for me it was easy). It's only really an issue for those of you getting the white caps, as you'd barely be able to see it (if at all) on the black caps. TL;DR, they're great!
  2. They're out, but also out of stock. I don't know when they'll be back, but I hope it's soon...
  3. Even though I have a set of the Vortex PBT doubleshots on my Strafe, I'd still love to order a set of these (the Vortex caps are thin). Trouble is... they're out of stock...
  4. Still nothing. I still have faith that eventually, SOMETHING will come out. For now, I have a set of ABS doubleshots from a Realforce RGB, along with the non-standard bottom row keys and spacebar from a set of Vortex PBT doubleshots. I had to give my Vortex set to my dad for his Das Division Zero board, since the caps on that were **** (and because of Costar stabilizers, I couldn't just put the ABS doubleshots on--too thick).
  5. I already have a set of the Vortex PBTs on my Strafe for the time being, but I am still waiting for these caps to release and will gladly buy a set (especially if the cap walls are at least 1.5mm thick, which is not a lot thicker, but still noticeably thicker than that of the Vortex set).
  6. Is this project still alive, or have the higher-ups decided to terminate it? I'm a little worried given that it's been over a month since anyone posted a reply, and even longer since Corsair Henry has posted anything about this.
  7. What worried me when I put the set on was just how similar the molding looked to the stock Realforce RGB and Ducky keycaps. This wasn't just on the spacebar, but on ALL keys. Hopefully, those of us who couldn't wait for the Corsair set to release weren't duped into buying a set of ABS doubleshots marketed as PBT doubleshots... :wtfman: EDIT: OK, I exaggerated a bit. The molding on the standard keys looks a bit different from the Realfoce RGB ABS doubleshots. The non-standard keys and spacebar look shockingly similar, though. Hopefully, it's just a case of them using the same tooling to make those, but using PBT instead of ABS... I hope... !!!
  8. I ended up cracking and buying a set of the Vortex caps. They are damn good, hopefully the Corsair caps turn out even better. I'll likely buy a set of those for my friend's K70.
  9. Starting to worry here... has there been a hitch in the process and the concept is dead?
  10. As long as you get the 126-key set, you won't have that problem. It has extra keys to accommodate non-standard layouts.
  11. That new Vortex set is really tempting, but I think I'll still hold out for Corsair to release their set, since I won't be using my Strafe for several weeks (I'm not home, and I didn't bring my Strafe to university).
  12. Is this still alive, or has there been a hitch and the project is now dead?
  13. I think Corsair Henry would consider that to be leakage... idk. I can't wait for these to come out just as much as any of us. My Strafe RGB is dying for some thick doubleshots. I don't even care if they are forced to use ABS instead of PBT, as long as they are thick doubleshots. I think that it's taking a long time because doubleshot PBT with backlight compatibility is still a relatively new thing, and making the longer keys (especially the spacebar) is very difficult because PBT warps when cooling.
  14. Honestly, I'll be happy if these release before the end of the year at all. That seems unlikely, though, judging by the current level of silence from Corsair on this topic. I'm just happy that they are even trying to do this in the first place.
