ahelton
I have the CX600M PSU with a split 6 and 8 pin power cable. My current card requires a 6 pin and 8 pin power jack. Can I safely use the one PSU supplied cable that has a split connection? I assume the wire gauge is sized correctly. Even at a high amperage, there should be a very small amount of voltage loss. peanutz94
Yes, you can use it BTW there is no need to keep starting new threads for seperate questions. Just please keep them all in one thread. It's a lot easier to follow this way. Not only that chances are your threads will be merged anyway. retiredSFer
I have a Corsair AX860i PSU and had the same question regarding the split 6 and 8 pin power cable with my GEFORCE GTX 760 graphics card. Thanks for the answer. Since I have the split 6 and 8 pin power cable as well as several 6 plus 2 pin power cables, should I use the split power cable or two 6 plus 2 power cables? I have a Corsair 800D case with plenty of room.
peanutz94
Just from a total load standpoint go with two separate cables. But that card should run just fine on the split cable. Basically it would be your preference.
