i would like to power my corsair nautilus 500 externally without the use of the pc power supply.

with this from the picture below. my question would be how many amps in total does the corsair nautillus 500 need?

how many amps for the fan?

how many amps for the pump?

this is what i would like to power it with but i want to be sure first that the power brick provides enough amps for the pump and fan

I have searched our network drives for any information regarding the Nautilus 500 specifications and I have not been able to find anything. We do not even have a unit laying around that I could find so I could hook it up and put a volt meter on it. The pump is an early Laing DDC unit and a 120mm fan. Estimating 20 watts for the pump (current pumps maximum) and 6 for the fan (if the fan used had a max .50 amp which is very high for a standard 25mm fan) you would be looking around 26 watts @ 12 volts max (2.17 amps). This should give you a ball park idea of where you need to be to power it from a external power source.
