Wired Posted August 1, 2004 Share Posted August 1, 2004 I believe you mean RMA, not RNA. RMA stands for Return Merchandise Authorization. When you have bad computer hardware and it needs to be replaced under warranty from the hardware manufacturer or reseller, you submit a RMA request. When it is approved, you get an RMA number which is used to identify your hardware and the RMA info when you ship the hardware in for replacement.
