Hi

im getting a new pc and i have decided to go for lga1155 and 16gb ram.

i will probably get a asus p8z68-v pro motherbord.

my question is wich is the better alternative, 4x4 or 2x8?

the kits i have been looking at is CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 and CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10.

i cant find the 2x8 kit in the ram configurator (new kit/modell?) but i guess its compitable since the 1x8gb of the same type is.

im going to OC my cpu and i wonder if the 2x8 kits is a better choice? Because ive heard that you might get a lower oc result when filling up all memory slots instead of just using 2, is this true?

btw, sorry if me english isnt the best.

Yupppers! Using only two sticks will be less strain on your memory controller. And that could mean higher overclocks. But it's not a guarantee
