Nilsaugust Posted January 4, 2012 Share Posted January 4, 2012 Hi im getting a new pc and i have decided to go for lga1155 and 16gb ram. i will probably get a asus p8z68-v pro motherbord. my question is wich is the better alternative, 4x4 or 2x8? the kits i have been looking at is CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 and CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10. i cant find the 2x8 kit in the ram configurator (new kit/modell?) but i guess its compitable since the 1x8gb of the same type is. im going to OC my cpu and i wonder if the 2x8 kits is a better choice? Because ive heard that you might get a lower oc result when filling up all memory slots instead of just using 2, is this true? // Nilsaugst btw, sorry if me english isnt the best.
