new_world_order
Hi, upon installing the unit, I accidentally turned the screws hard onto the metal fins of the radiator and now the fins has disfigured/bent and is now all squashed and not recoverable for an alignment. The water tubing has not been damaged, only the fins have. It only happened in this one place. I know this question has been asked before but this is a little bit more dire damage. Please refer to the image in the attachment as an illustration (Apologies for the brightness). My question is will this impede the performance of the liquid cooler at all? My idle (28-34 Celcius) and load temperatures seem fine but I am paranoid about these things. I am running it in a push-pull configuration. Thankyou in advance. parsec
As you can see from your temps, this damage is hardly dire, and nothing to worry about. Use a toothpick or jewelers screwdriver to straighten the fins a bit if you like.
Synthohol
its not an issue, even if that whole column of fins were gone it would only affect cooling by a couple percent. its all good!
