orion24
This new Gigabyte board isn't listed at all in the memory configurator page; I suppose because it is too new. I've already purchased the CMD12GX3M6A1600C8 memory pack and I'm thinking of this board, but I'm hold off due to that fact. Since all previous Gigabyte X58 solutions are reported compatible, I suppose it'll be as well, but better safe than sorry, they say. Anybody tried it? Wired
If that motherboard can supply 1.65v to the memory, then yes. The website for that board only says 1.5v (but their hidden BIOS settings may allow 1.65v).
orion24
I wouldn't worry about that. Is that the only problem? Anyway, I've been waiting for weeks, its almost Christimas time now and it looks like my patience is over with this story (not just with the memory compatibility, but with the lack of performance reviews for this particular board). Most probably I'll make the move and purchase it. ** update ** OK. I bought it. It's working.
