colo85cj7
My computer is not regocnizing the 4G flash voyager, I try to open the usb port it's in and it states that it is not formatted then asks me if I want to reformat (and lose all my data). I have no other choice so I said "Yes", then it tells me it's write protected and will not allow me to format it anyway. I've had it about 10 months, no trouble with it until now. Any help is appreciated.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 30, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 30, 2007 Please try and format the drive from a command prompt with WinXP/2K/ME with this syntax and see if it will complet the format. Format (X:) /FS:FAT32 /U (X=the drive letter assigned to the Flash Voyager) If it still will not format let's get it replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them or it. colo85cj7
Ram Guy, That failed also. I have my RMA and will ship it out this week. Is this a known problem with these? If so will the next one I receive have this trouble also? Thank you
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 31, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 31, 2007 Not really its just we sell so many its not uncommon to see some fail for what ever reason. But we get back less that .02% of what we sell on average so chances are it wont happen again but if it does we will replace it.
