Vampyre
I currently have some TWINX1024-3200XL running a amd 3200+ winney chip at 250x10 at 2.5 3 3 7 - 1t at 2.8 volts. Anything higher and my cpu cant take it. It has been solid ever since going up from 2.7 to 2.8 volts and pretty quick. I have been thinking of upgrading my ram to 2 gigs total. Would it be a better idea to get another TWINX1024-3200XL for 4 sticks total or go with a 2 gig 2 stick Twinx kit? And what would happen for timings at that speed? and would i have to go 2t? But biggest question would my computer be faster then it is now, going from 1 gig to 2 gig's? Thanks
Wired
What do you use your PC for mainly? Winchester's don't have the memory controllers that can handle 4 sticks @ DDR400, so on a normal system they'd run @ DDR333 @ 2T. May be able to OC them to DDR400 @ 2T. 4 sticks puts a lot more stress on the memory controller though, and as such may not OC as well.
Vampyre
Mostley for gaming and some 3d modeling apps. Well based of what you said about 4 sticks it sounds like the 1 gig sticks would be the way to go. As i want to keep 1t timing and keep the proc oc to around 2.5. What about the other ? in my first post? And would i be able to just drop in the 3200c2 2048 twinx sticks and have similar timings and the oc that i currently have?
