JohnnyQ Posted January 1, 2006 Share Posted January 1, 2006 I just bought the Corsair 512MB400 XMS memory module and have been trying to install it to my Dell Dimension 3000 w/Windows XP. I did it just like the instructions said to and all the computer does is beep and does not want to work. Wired Posted January 1, 2006 Share Posted January 1, 2006 Corsair Modules Compatible with the Dell Dimension 3000 Dell systems won't let you modify the appropriate memory timings / voltage settings that are needed to make the XMS series run correctly. Return the memory and get memory from that list that is compatible with your system. The memory in that list don't need to be tweaked to run correctly.
