marshall815
the specs for my motherboard are Single channel, unbuffered, 2.5V DDR266/333/400, (2) 184-pin DIMM sockets, max 2GB but most ddr400 pc3200 memory is rated 2.6v does this mean that 2.6v memory isnt compatible on a 2.5v mobo mobo = foxconn k8s760mg6lrs
Wired
Most DDR memory isn't 2.6v. They range from 2.5 to 3.0 volts. 2.5 is just the JEDEC spec. Yes, if memory needs more than 2.5, and the board only gives 2.5, then they aren't recommended to be run together. FYI, Corsair XMS modules are tested @ 2.75 v.
