c-attack Posted February 16 Share Posted February 16 Yes. The Commander Core controller has independent RGB headers unlike previous controllers so you can mix and match fans. On the first boot up it will detect them as QL fans and create a subgroup on the AIO page for QL fan lighting. If you have other fans types, they will show up separately as 8 series LED fans, LL fans, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

c-attack Posted February 17 Share Posted February 17 No, not for this model. The Commander Core can handle any PWM fan for speed control and any Corsair HD, ML-RGB, ML-Elite, SP-Elite, SP-Pro, LL, or QL fan on the RGB side. The ML-Elite that come with the AIO likely put more air through the radiator at maximum speed compared to QL, but not to the point where you'll notice temperature differences in real use.
