Teambo100
in case anyone is wondering, i was able to fix this by changing DWORD PP_GPUPowerDownEnabled to 0 in the registry. for me it was under this key: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000

It initially helped a lot, until I let me laptop go to sleep last night/over night and when it awoke from a sleep state, everything came on...but the screen. Power button reset and it is fine again...till next time. Any one else have this issue?
Teambo100
@RazzleNdazzle i ended up mitigating the issue more by disabling hibernation. I did this using an app called powersettingsexplorer and setting "hibernate after" to 0 in all cases
