moochie49
I have a 240mm H100i Capetillix installed. I've been kinda disappointed with it. Temps on my i7 13700k go into the 90's, sometimes 100 at full load. Undervolting has helped a little. In any case, I'm in the process of upgrading my cpu to a i7 14700k. So I'm going to have remove the cooler from the old cpu to put in the new one. My question is do I just apply thermal paste to the processor as normal, or do I have put some on the heatsink as well. Solution c-attack Posted October 25, 2023 Solution Share Posted October 25, 2023 You can put it on the CPU only. It will transfer to the cold plate when tightened down. Putting it on both sides usually winds up being too much.
