RoninDevil Posted August 22, 2023 Share Posted August 22, 2023 This problem is a bit difficult to describe. I have some link fans and a link aio. I can’t control the fans or change the order, the guides say to select the link system hub and select device settings but when I select the hub the update firmware window is open, so device settings are greyed out. if I try to close the the update window by clicking the X it just goes back to the main screen and the window is back when selecting the hub again. If I click check for update nothing happens. If I click force update it goes through the process but then nothing changes and the system hub screen still has the box stuck there. if I click into settings where all of the updates are, the check updates button does nothing. It did seem to update when it was first installed. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the it is just the same. I have an ASU’s rig motherboard and graphics card. has anyone come across this issue and found a fix? 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CrystalDragon Posted August 22, 2023 Share Posted August 22, 2023 Sorry man I have the same problem, there should be 3 tabs on the hub screen that lets you play with the logical order of the devices on the hub, a tab where you can change the order of the QX fans in software, and a settings tab like the one you see! I think Corsair just made a bad update, which I hope they fix soon! All the fans and AIO in my computer are out of order and the sensor is missing in the Dashboard that allows me to see the RPMs of the pump and the temp of the coolant in the AIO, and for some dumb logic those sensors find there way in the QX Fan Tab in ique, in witch make so since what so ever! 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Checking for update does nothing, neither does force update. any attempt to close the window just throws me back to the home screen. something must be causing it. c-attack Posted August 22, 2023 Share Posted August 22, 2023 There is a bug/error in CUE 5.5 that removed the CUE Link configuration panel. Theoretically you could rearrange the fans physically, but that is a lot of work. For now, skip the sequential lighting effects and stick to uniform patterns. No, because you can’t drop back to specific 5.x prior versions. It always will pull the latest version from the server. RoninDevil Posted August 23, 2023 Author Share Posted August 23, 2023 Looks like waiting for an update then! in a wider note, the fan in the icue link seems to be very noisy, it’s not like a bubbling noise from trapped air or anything, just spinning noise. The case fans also periodically rev right up like a jet every so often, even at idle, and then go back down. Not sure if I have any conflicts with any ASUS software or bios that is sending the system crazy or if I can sort it all out by playing with the fan curves. I’m assuming that will be done in icue as the motherboard thinks there is only one fan, from the CPU fan header to the icue link hub. is there anything I need to look into? Any advice on how this should all work is great. I’m used to having all the fans plugged into the motherboard. This is cool but weird 😁 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

These QX have a new bearing and mine are much less noisy than at the same RPM compared to QL/LL types. One user did report this as well on one of the fans. The normal first step is to loosen the screws for the noisy fan by a 1/4 to 1/2 turn and see if that relieves it. If not, it's usually bearing related. What are you using as the control variable for the control curve? Or are you on the Quiet/Balanced/Extreme presets? These default to "QX temp" which is the air temp sensor on the back side of the fan. That may or may not be helpful depending on the fan location, but if you have one as the rear exhaust that is the one to use. However, any QX Temp should be pretty stable. CPU temp on the other hand will cause this all the time and that's one of several reasons why it's a poor choice for a control value. We can likely find you a better source with more info. Possible there is a software conflict, but it should not be from AI Suite or the BIOS. The CUE Link hub is independent from that system. A more common issue is loss of control when using HWinfo, AIDA, or any other program trying to poll the Link Hub. They fight for access and get entangled with CUE. I don’t have much control as icue seems to be bugged with devices stuck with a firmware window that won’t close. It’s in the icue link system hub and my vengeance pro ram, can’t alter any settings. I have set the fans at a constant 40% for the time being and things seem ok. The computer has put itself to sleep once though whilst I was playing a game. it seems something is causing an issue. I have noticed some sudden temp spikes on the amd 7800x3d, blasting up to 80 for a few seconds, which I think is why the fans revved up really loud every so often. An internet search seems to suggest that AMD chips can behave like this. I may have jumped onto icue link a bit too early. This used to be one of my recommendation for users with really high room or case ambient temps. Just set the fans to the highest level you are willing to tolerate and be done. Clicking check force update does nothing, clicking force update seems to go through the process but nothing changes, clicking x to close the update window just throws me back to the front page you have shown above and when going back to icue link hub it just shows the same again. It’s not prompting you to update the firmware, but the “setup screen” is missing and thus the firmware is the only function available. There is nothing for you to do on the hub right now. I have a similar issue, but it makes me update and I get the firmware update screen, click update, and it's saying it is updating but just hangs and 'locks up' iCUE (for an hour or more) or the update screen crashes out after 30 seconds and the hub disappears from iCUE.(had both happen a few times). I've tried different ports, cables, devices plugged in and not, nothing works. I have a ticket in, that is pending a response, although they've gone quiet. Right now I don't have any lights and no control, but don't want to take it out or my pump will stop all together. I have the latest iCUE (5.6.9**). Do we know if this is a software bug still or is mine a bad hub?? Do I push a return or wait for new software?? I did that and pushed the manual update, and it's hanging like new update, will sit indefinitely like this. Thinking iCUE issue, but still not positive it's not just a bad hub. Ho Aio H150i LCD ilink e 2 qx120 Rgb partono si accendono ma vanno a pilota automatico non le rileva da icue e non posso cambiare effetti sia ventole sia del display LCD. RISOLVETE STO BUG.
