Is it Safe now to Update to ICUE 5.1???

Like the title says, is it safe to update? 

I wonder if uninstalling old version of ICUE and installing the new version would aviod issues instead of just installing over oldversion?

You can simply install over. There is no fundamental underlying change. They have removed the option in the RAM section to write new XMP profiles to the modules, so it can’t continue to write data to the module. If you are using DDR5 you were not affected by the error in the prior version either. 
 

If you want to do a clean install for whatever reason, make sure you export your profiles first so they can be imported back later.
