Twicer
Hello Corsair team ! The best way to describe my issue is by asking you to play PUBG: Battlegrounds using the HS80 RGB USB headset with the iCUE 4 software installed ! In short, footsteps are barely audible at close proximity, while gunshots are LOUD and heard across the map. All puns aside, while this issue can be caused by a variety of factors such as the gameaudio itself, feedback from the Corsair community suggest that these issues are related to the Corsair iCUE software, which is managing audio enhancements such as loudness equalisation on behalf of Windows. To my understanding, this issue is not limited to the HS80 RGB USB headset, but is also affecting other corsair products such as the Corsair Void PRO and the Corsair Virtuoso. So far i've tried most possible combinations of Stereo/Dolby Audio modes, Auto Audio Repositioning ON/OFF, all default + custom EQ Presets, the Windows Spatial Sound mode, plus changes in the in-game settings, to try find a solution for increasing the audible footsteps distance ingame beyond 5 meters. The only recommended solution I have been able to find so far, is to uninstall the iCUE software... This is not considered an acceptable solution due to my many other Corsair products requiring the features iCUE provide. FYI, the HS80 headset has no issues using EQ presets or interacting with the iCUE software, but it just cant handle the audio in PUBG... HS80 Firmware: v. 1.18 iCUE Software: v. 4.28.177 Thank you.
