bravegag Posted September 26, 2022 Share Posted September 26, 2022 Hi everyone, I am now done with the fans setup for my current build and was wondering whether I could test the fans in isolation? i.e. connect the commander cores to the PSU and see wether they spin/light on? is it possible? It would give me peace of mind to move forward with the build and correct any possible issues upfront without having to install / uninstall MOBO / PSU cables etc. many TIA! Solution c-attack Posted September 26, 2022 Solution Share Posted September 26, 2022 You will need the SATA for the Commander(s), LNCore(s) connected so they have power. Then use the 24 pin jumper from your PSU kit on the main 24 pin ATX power cable to the MB. That will allow SATA power and the fans will spin. Default lighting varies. Some will do rainbow.
