mohsh86
Have AX1600i that has USB, but inside PSU has a weird connector and 2 x 4 pin ports (not sure if they're PMBus). Would like to hook it up to Asus WRX80 PSU_SMB 5pin port on MB Attached a is picture of teardown of AX1600i that shows the control board with ports in question. Besides corsair link / iCUE, does AX1600i support PMBus / PSU SMB?
mikeyosm
Hi Did you ever figure this out? I have an RMi PSU that Im hoping to get stats out of through IPMI. My Supermicro board has a 5pin smbus header.
aquarius76
In brief, I think Ax1600i does not have I2C PMBUS. AX1200i has I2C PMBUS digital comm connector, which can be hooked to an IPMI card through 80cm PMBUS Cable (4PIN) aka Corsair Link™ Digital interface cable, possibly sold separately as https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/pc-...-8920117/axi-i2c-800mm-pmbus-cable-cp-8920117. Via PMBUS one can not only read voltage ad current but also turn on/off the powersupply. AX1200i also contains bundled I2C to USB convertor called Corsair Link™ USB Dongle, possibly sold separately ashttps://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/pc-components-accessories/cp-8920019/ax-1200i-860i-760i-usb-to-i2c-adapter-cp-8920019 https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/psu/cp-9020008-na/ax1200i-digital-atx-power-supply-1200-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-fully-modular-psu-cp-9020008-na https://res.cloudinary.com/corsair-pwa/image/upload/corsairmedia/sys_master/productcontent/49-000142_revAB_AX1200i.pdf For unclear reason the Ax860i and Ax1600i models have the USB connector which requires you to connect it to an internal USB 9-pin header (80cm USB cable (9PIN)), no I2C PMBUS. Than iCUE software can read it if Win are running at all. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/psu/cp-9020087-na/ax1600i-digital-atx-power-supply-1600-watt-fully-modular-psu-cp-9020087-na https://res.cloudinary.com/corsair-pwa/image/upload/corsairmedia/sys_master/productcontent/AX1600i_C14_Manual_Web.pdf Likewise HX1000i and HX1500i have the USB connect and again, you must connect them to the internal USB 9-pinheader: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/psu/cp-9020261-na/hx1500i-fully-modular-ultra-low-noise-platinum-atx-1500-watt-pc-power-supply-cp-9020261-na https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/psu/cp-9020259-na/hx1000i-fully-modular-ultra-low-noise-platinum-atx-1000-watt-pc-power-supply-cp-9020259-na How do I know this? Because I am looking for a powersuppluy which can be hooked to the ASUS IMPI card with 5-pin connector: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/Add-on_card/IPMI_Expansion_Card_EM_WEB_EN.pdf The Installation Guide of IPMI Expansion Card for all Compatible motherboards. | Official Support | ASUS USA https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/Add-on_card/IPMI_EXPANSION_CARD/Compatible_Model_List.pdf
