Do I need the Lighting Node Core?

The ML120 Elite fans are available individually or as a set of 3.
I'm looking to add 3 to a system that will include the H150i Elite LCD which comes with an "iCUE Commander CORE fan and RGB controller".
Do I need the "Lighting Node Core" that comes with the fan triple pack or should I just purchase 3 of the single fans?

You can get the the three singles. The Commander Core will be your lighting controller (and fan speed control). All of the various Corsair RGB controllers work for all fan types. The one exception is the original Lighting Node Pro will shutdown channel 2 if you heavily populate channel 1 with QL fans (4 or more).
