Sojourner1
Is there a way to put this keyboard into BIOS mode without having to unplug it? I found that unplugging the keyboard, holding down the B and S keys while plugging it back in ill put it into BIOS mode. Is there a way to do this without unplugging it? WinLock + F1 does nothing. Corsair Employees Corsair Blade Posted July 7, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 7, 2021 Hi Sojourner1, There is no way to enable BIOS mode without doing the B+S replug steps unfortunately. That is the only way to toggle BIOS mode on all our newest-generation keyboards.
Sojourner1
Interestingly, it seems the keyboard adapted after I installed iCUE 4 and updated the K55 firmware. It has started automatically going into factory mode (I could tell from the RGB lighting) whenever I restarted my PC, or when I boot up from a full shutdown. It's not foolproof, there have been a couple of times after a BSoD that both the keyboard, and my Scimitar, seem to glitch out and cannot be detected by Windows. I then have to switch them to different USB ports after a shutdown to get them to start working again, but overall, I have to say this is a huge improvement. Even if the K55 Pro XT is not in factory mode, it no longer causes my BIOS to freeze during POST. So, I no longer have to hold down a bunch of buttons every time I do a restart, like I did with the old K55. This is very helpful when I refresh my OS and repeatedly have to do a bunch of restarts for driver installations!

I tried hold on to the B and S for three seconds,it doesn't work.

It's not the same steps for every keyboard.
Juddem
I have the k55 and I was able to put it into bios mode with the b+s keys but I can’t get it back out.

We would first suggest you try a soft-reset of the keyboard. This will clear the keyboard internal memory, which often can correct issues such as the one you are experiencing. Please follow the directions below: 1: Unplug the keyboard. 2: Press the Esc key 3: While holding the Esc key, plug in the keyboard. 4: Hold the key down for 10 seconds. 5: Release the key.
