dmaire
I had two memory sticks (512MB each) in my hard drive. They were purchased Nov 13, 2004. Last week my computer crashed (I have Win XP on a Dell Dimension 4600). I had a blue screen with an error message. When I contacted Dell's tech support, they first told me that I had a hard drive failure. Replacing the hard drive did not correct the problem (I was unable to reload Win XP), so I contacted Dell again. This time their tech support had me test the memory, and it failed. I removed one memory stick and still got the failure. Then I put the first memory stick back and removed the second. The computer then worked fine and has been working since. It appears that the second memory stick may have been faulty - how do I go about requesting a return and exchange? (I have my receipt) Thanks! Wired
Are you using them with the Dell memory? What is the exact part # and revision # of each stick? Are they a TwinX pack? How To Read the Memory Label
